In the next installment of our “re-sugaring” – that is favorite “Extra Sugars” from season 4, we finally found a perfectly adequate excuse to talk about prohibition and its connective tissue right here in the South.
We discussed what exactly prohibition was (and what it wasn’t), what it did (and what it didn’t), and the ripple effects we still see to this day.
There’s no “one and done” with this one, but we’ll be looking into ways to cover other angles down the road (including the specific history of moonshine because it has a legacy all its own!).
